Wed, 20 September 2006 After the first half of this weeks Eagles Vs. Giants game, The Eagles looked poised to return to the glory of the 2004 season . What us fans never saw coming, was the self implosion of the entire team . What a difference of two teams . The eagles seemed destined to show everyone who had doubted them this off season. Now looks like team grasping for some sort of closure . Jevon Kearseâ??s season ending knee injury looks to be the first question that will need to be answered .Jerome Mcdougle has been thrust into this lineup after being deactivated for the first two games . I donâ??t have a lot of hope in him , with only 2 sacks in first four seasons (i.e. pup list due to shooting) three real seasons . He has never looked like the athlete Coach Andy Reid moved up to the 15 th pick in the 2003 draft should have shown. We can just hope that depth of the defensive line does not come into play. With Trent Cole coming off the bench he should help shoulder the repp s given to Mcdougle . The loss of Lito Sheppard and Rodderick Hodd could cause problems within the defensive backfield . The Linebackers will really have to step this week against the 49ers . Joselio Hanson has now been thrust into the starting lineup, this will be extremely difficult for Sheldon Brown to overcome , but with the help of Dawkins he should do fine. If heâ??s not covering up Michael Lewisâ??s mistakes( FALL ON THE BALL). Donovan Looked very sharp in the first half , but thatâ??s why they play the whole game . I will not sit here and bash him for dropped balls , However not calling a qb sneak on 4 and 1 was ( I said it RIDICULOUS ) ! He needs to step up and call a play or two for himself . Heâ??s been in this league 8 years now , thatâ??s a move of a true leader! Even while L.J. Smith had one of his best games ever he showed, It â??s hard not to focus on the 1 catch he didnâ??t make . If he could have made that grab , no question he would be on the early list for pro bowl! With that now off my chest , I still believe they are the team to beat this season! Barring any more serious injuries! We have very big surprise coming in tomorrow night â??s mpbguys PODCAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donâ??t forget to drop us an email at mpbguys@comcast.net Thanks Chance! E.A.G.L.E.S. Wooooooooooooooooo Baby Comments[0] |
